Dave Cooper lives in an apartment on Hollywood Boulevard and has just been handed an eviction notice by his landlord. If he doesn’t come up with rent money in 24 hours, he and all of his belongings will be out on the street. At this unfortunate moment, his best friend, Mitch, shows up unexpectedly needing a place to crash. With bills to pay and deadlines looming, the two hit the Boulevard, Dave hoping for a miracle and Mitch in search of inspiration.

This seriocomedy explores how seemingly random interactions between strangers can mean everything.

“On the Blvd.” is a free one-man show featuring Matt DeNoto.

The last two weeks have been beyond insane. A few more re-writes. A cast change. A page one re-write. A title change(!). And in the middle of it all, it was deadline time for print ads!

But we turned a corner and have come out the other side all the better for it. Everything is coming together and it's so exciting to feel so sclose to ready.

I can't WAIT for you guys to see this show!

This has been an exciting week for this project - and there's still more to come!

With our venue booked and project registered, we are now officially official. And with that lifts the huge burden that deadlines will bring, but it also shines the light on another down the road. I've already learned a million different new things so far in such a short time and we're still so early on in the process. My mind races just thinking about what's next.

The first private reading of the script for this project will be held this weekend, and I'm excited to hear feedback on it for the first time. (I hope) there will be good things and (I expect) there will be bad things. But that's what this journey is all about, isn't it? Getting down the nuts and bolts of your craft, pushing up your sleeves and getting dirty...growing all the while.

It has been an interesting journey to this point. I've met a few other Fringe producers and have listened them speak passionately about their own projects. I'm looking forward to meeting more come Monday.
