LOVE, SEX, AND VIOLENCE TOO (OR FALSE ADVERTISING)

Last summer I directed the hit production of "LOVE,SEX,VIOLENCE,ETC" at the Whitefire Theater. It was an evening (and matinee)consisting of six one act plays by the striking and imaginative Czech American Playwright Helena Weltman. Helena's plays were widely performed in the 1960's and 70's in her native Czechoslovakia. Unfortunately after her arrival in the US she didn't speak well enough English to write in it. She has therefore become a well known psychotherapist. Only a couple of years ago she started writing again; plays, short stories, fairy tales for adults.
"LOVE,SEX,AND VIOLENCE TOO" is another crop of interesting plays about human relationships. Three of them are parts of a small trilogy "ON THE COUCH" where she uses her background in psychology and therapy. The plays range from drama to comedy.
It promises to be another production of that will entertain you and make you think.
